Forget about dust: how to create a dust-repellent spray at home
Anyone who has ever dusted their home dreams of not having to leave dust on furniture and surfaces for a while. Carolina McCauley, an Australian blogger who writes about home care for her 2.4 million followers, has demonstrated a home remedy that can make this dream come true.
On her Instagram, she shared a recipe for a spray that will remove dust, slow down its settling, and at the same time kill the harmful dust mites that live in it. To prepare the product, you will need:
- half a tablespoon of olive oil;
- a tablespoon of vinegar;
- half a glass of water;
- 10 drops of dishwashing liquid;
- lemon essential oil.
Pour the vegetable oil into a spray bottle. This component will repel dust from surfaces.
Next, add vinegar. Its task is to fight dust mites. Next, pour water into the bottle.
Finally, add dishwashing liquid and a few drops of lemon essential oil to scent the product. Close the bottle and shake it well so that all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.
The blogger recommends applying this spray to a microfibre cloth that does not leave behind lint. The surfaces should be wiped once a week. It will not harm even varnished and painted surfaces.
