It became known in which semifinal the participant from Ukraine will perform
The draw for the semifinals took place in Malmö, Sweden, and was hosted by Pernilla Mansson Colt and Farah Abadi. Ukraine will perform in the first show on May 7.
It will decide whether the Ukrainian contestant will advance to the final of the competition, which will be broadcast on May 11. This was announced during the online broadcast.
According to the rules of the competition, the Big Five countries automatically qualify for the finals: Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Italy, as well as the country that won the previous show. In 2024, it will be Sweden.
In addition to determining the countries participating in both semifinals, it was also decided when viewers from the six countries mentioned above will be able to vote.
The first semi-final, where the Ukrainian participant will perform, will be judged by Eurovision fans from Sweden, the UK and Germany. The French, Spanish, and Italians will also be able to vote in the contest on May 9.
As a reminder, Ukrainians will be able to choose their representative on February 3 this year.
Singer Yana Shemayeva (Jerry Heil), who gained recognition for her song "#Okhrana_otmena" and now ranks first in the charts with Teresa & Maria, will participate in the National Selection for Eurovision for the third time, but this time in a duet with Alyona Alyona.
