The 62-year-old performer calmly spoke to the woman after which she moved to a safer place, BBC reported. The Tennessee State Police Department expressed gratitude to the celebrity for the honorable act.

At first, the woman, who probably wanted to commit suicide, just listened to the artist, but after a few minutes returned to the footpath. The star did not leave the man, who was in a difficult moral state, but embraced him with one arm and slowly led him out of the bridge to safety.
