TIME magazine has chosen the Women of the Year

TIME magazine has announced the Women of 2024. Every year, the list includes 12 women from around the world who have made a contribution to the fight for human rights. One of the honorees who graced the latest cover of the magazine is Barbie director, writer and screenwriter Greta Gerwig.

She was joined by famous artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, activists and philanthropists. The list was posted on the TIME website today, February 21.

So, the TIME Women of the Year are: writer and director Greta Gerwig, actress Taraji P. Henson, singer and actress Andra Day, tennis player Coco Hauff, Chanel CEO Lina Nair, economic historian and labor economist, Nobel Prize winner Claudia Goldin, co-founder of Women for Peace Yael Admi, founder of Women of the Sun Rim Hajireh, poet Ada Limon, president of the Hope Initiative Nadia Murad, founder of the Chisholm Legacy Project Jacqui Patterson, and medical scientist Professor Marlena Feizo.

Interestingly, Israeli Yael Admi and Palestinian Rim Hajayreh are presented on the magazine's website in general terms as women from Israel and Palestine who demand peace and an end to the war.
