"Antytila" spoke out against Ukraine's participation in Eurovision during the war: the girls are good, but it is worth saving money for shells

The Ukrainian band "Antytila," who served as paramedics in the Kharkiv sector for six months, spoke out against Ukraine's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest during the war. The artists emphasized that they have nothing against the winners of the National Selection, alyona alyona & Jerry Heil, but believe that the country needs more money for shells now.

The stars told HOCHU.ua about this at the Palace of Sports before the concert. Not all members of the band followed the National Selection, but their opinions about the competition and Ukraine were about the same.

Serhii Vusyk, co-founder of "Antytila" and keyboardist, discussed the participation of Ukrainians in the show and concluded that it would be better to postpone it.

"Recently, my friend and I raised the question of how to explain to Europeans and those who support Ukraine that we will be sending so much money from our country to Eurovision. Perhaps we should have refused to participate. And say: 'You see, we are saving on everything because we need money for shells,'" the musician said.

He was supported by the band's leader Taras Topolia. According to the vocalist, next year it is better to rethink whether Ukraine needs these expenses.

"The girls won – well done, let them go represent. What can I say now? But next year, we need to think about what we might need to save. And it's good that we can send from Ukraine, that we have a country to send from," the artist emphasized.

The only band member who watched the National Selection and voted was guitarist Dmytro Zholud. His favorite band is "Ziferblat," which took second place.
