Angelina Jolie admits she once hired a killer to plan her own murder: his answer stunned the star

Angelina Jolie admitted that she once hired a killer to kill her

Angelina Jolie, a 49-year-old Hollywood actress, admitted that she once hired a killer for herself because she was thinking about suicide. At the time, the star was 22 years old and going through a "difficult period."

"It's going to sound crazy, but there was a time when I was going to hire someone to kill me," the celebrity said in 2001, according to the Daily Mail. She added that she would rather be killed than commit suicide, as it would be easier for her loved ones to survive the death.

In an interview with The Face in 2003, Jolie spoke about the search for the killer: "They're not that hard to find in New York. As crazy as it sounds, I think a lot of people think about suicide when they're young." According to the actress, her family, particularly her mother, would blame themselves for Angelina's suicide. "So my solution to this problem was that if someone else took my life, for example, during a 'robbery,' it would be murder, and no one would feel like they had failed me," she explained.

Jolie said she had planned to "send the killer cash over a while so that there wouldn't be a large amount in the bank account." However, the killer had a surprising response, the star said: "He was a decent enough person and asked if I could think about it and call him again in two months. Something had changed in my life, and I decided I could take it."
