Ukrainian actor Dmytro Stupka, who moved to the United States with his wife and child in the fall of 2021, frankly admitted which country he associates his future with. He spoke about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

According to the actor, he has been making a career in Ukraine for years, so he hopes to return to acting in his native country. However, given the fact that his daughter is unlikely to return to Ukraine with her mother (the couple divorced in America), he plans to visit her there to see her.

"I understand that my daughter will live here, because my mother already has her own business, her own life," says Stupka, "and I have no right to take my child away from her mother. So, God willing, when the war ends, I will live in two countries. I worked in Ukraine for many years and made a career, and I would not want to break it all up so easily. I miss Kyiv, my friends, relatives, and my profession. Of course, I see how well things are going in the theater, the queues for tickets. I miss it because I love the audience and the stage. But now my child comes first."

In the fall of 2021, Stupka moved to the United States with his then-wife, Belarusian blogger Polina Logunova, and daughter Bohdana. Logunova admitted in an interview that she and her husband were considering moving to this country for permanent residence. Dmytro Stupka says that he was supposed to return to Ukraine at the end of February 2022: "I bought a ticket home for February 23, 2022. When I was flying to Istanbul, where I had a connection to Kyiv, I read on social media that war had broken out. I couldn't get home – the skies were closed. I lived in Europe for several months, volunteering. And then I returned to America to be closer to my daughter."
