Kyrylo Budanov is a Ukrainian military man, head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Budanov was born on January 4, 1986 in Kiev.

According to unofficial reports in August 2016, Budanov was a participant in a special operation in Armyansk in occupied Crimea, which resulted in significant losses for the Russian military.
Assassination attempt in Kiev
Three years later, Budanov was assassinated in Kiev. A Russian saboteur with documents in the name of Alexei Lomak planted a mine in Budanov's Chevrolet Evanda, which detonated prematurely.
