Fencer from Mykolaiv shares her revelation

Olympic fencing champion Olga Harlan is shocked that in the 21st century she has to discuss nuclear war with her parents. The 32-year-old athlete admitted that her father and mother had decided to stay in their native Mykolaiv to the last, and no amount of bombing would force them to leave their home.

"My parents told me right away that only if the occupiers came to Mykolaiv would they leave. They were already preparing for a nuclear war. At the moment when everyone started talking about it, I went to training and talked to my mother. I hang up the phone and think: "I'm talking to my mum about nuclear war. Seriously? What the f*ck is going on?" - Olga admitted on the Vdoma YouTube channel.

Harlan is hardly aware that this is the reality she is living in now.

"My mother says [about preparations for a nuclear war - Ed:] "Well, we bought this and that". I'm sitting there in shock, and she's relaxed," Harlan said.

On March 30, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called for a preemptive nuclear strike against Ukraine.

Recently, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, noted that Russia threatens to use nuclear weapons out of powerlessness and fear. The worse the situation at the front gets for the Russian troops, the more often such threats will be heard from Moscow.
