"His name is on enemy lists": a 22-year-old boxer died in the war against the Russian occupiers
The Ukrainian sports community has suffered another loss in the criminal war waged against our country by the Russian terrorist state. Boxer Artem Khan was killed in the fight against the occupiers. He would have turned 23 in April.
This was reported by the LuckyPunch.net project on its Facebook page. It is known that Khan had been missing since April 2022 after fighting in the Izyum area as part of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In December of the same year, Artem's mother Anna told 0512.com.ua that she had managed to find out about her son's captivity. "At the military enlistment office, I was offered to write to change my status from 'missing' to 'prisoner of war'. Later, I found a lawyer and hired him at my own expense to help me find out at least something about my son. What I know now is that he is in captivity. His name is on the enemy's lists. He is alive, that's the main thing," she said at the time.
Now it has become known that the soldier is dead. Artem graduated from Mykolaiv National University of Shipbuilding. He was fond of boxing and mixed martial arts, and was a student of the SDUSSHOR-6.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Ukrainian football player Victoria Kotlyarova was killed in a missile attack on Kyiv on December 29. And in Lviv, former Ukrainian national basketball player Viktor Kobzysty became a victim of the Russians.
