Zelensky said that the world hears Ukraine's position

President Volodymyr Zelensky summarized the results of important foreign meetings - the League of Arab States and the G7 plus Ukraine summit in Hiroshima, Japan, where he held talks with world leaders. The head of state stressed that the world hears our state's position and shows understanding of every point of our peace formula for ending the war with Russia.

Zelensky said this in an address to Ukrainians and the world on Sunday, May 21, the end of the 452nd day of the war with Russia. The video was published on the Youtube channel of the Office of the President (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

"The world hears our position. Protection and security guarantees, the return of all our territories and all our people, justice and the implementation of our peace formula. We have an understanding with the world majority on every essential point for Ukraine. And together we will increase Ukraine's potential," the President stressed.

He noted that in Hiroshima Ukraine had been an honorable participant of the G7. Ukrainian topic during the negotiations was central, the leaders of the countries expressed words of respect to the Ukrainian people.

"Meeting with President Biden - and, as always, we become stronger after such negotiations. The meeting with the leader of Indonesia - meaningful. The meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea - the potential for strong relations. Met with Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada - thank you, Justin. Talked to the leaders of Vietnam and Australia. We spoke separately and in detail with the Prime Minister of Japan - we will strengthen cooperation," said the head of state.

"Our unity with the world, our protection for Ukrainians and our strength - the strength of the Ukrainian state - will also be the most worthy commemoration of our people - different generations - whose lives were broken and trampled by Russian evil, this long-standing tyranny, which changes form but kills equally cruelly," he said.

Zelensky stressed that today is Memorial Day for victims of political repression - all those who were killed during the years of the Soviet regime.

"We do not forget what happened, we do not forget who we lost, and we do not forget that we are obliged to be strong. And we always will be," the president concluded.

Recall that during an address to the people of Japan in Hiroshima Zelensky stressed that a Russian full-scale invasion should be the last manifestation of aggression in the world. According to the head of state, by stopping Russia's invading ambitions, the entire civilized world will paralyze other potential aggressors.

Zelensky also noted that the Ukrainian formula for peace implies not only the defeat of Russia, but also security around the world.

At the G7 summit in Japan, the president of Ukraine called on partners to support the Ukrainian peace formula. The key condition for ending the war must be the unconditional withdrawal of Russian occupation troops from all of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

The day before, on May 20, Zelensky met with Sunak, Maloney, Modi and other world leaders in Japan.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the G7 countries - the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada - condemned the Russian war against Ukraine in the final communiqué of the G7 summit. The leaders pledged to support Kiev "as long as necessary to establish a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.
