On Sunday, May 14, while on a visit to Germany, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski arrived at the headquarters of the German Defense Ministry. This is the president's first visit to that country since the start of the full-scale war.

The media reported that unprecedented security measures were imposed in Berlin against the backdrop of Zelensky's visit. The entire city center was blocked for his motorcade, with dozens of police cars and water cannons. Local journalists recalled that this had never happened even during the visit of Obama during his presidency.
Later in his Telegram, the Ukrainian leader gave some details about his visit to Germany.
"We discussed the current situation and the intensive cooperation between Germany and Ukraine. Germany will continue to support Ukraine politically, militarily, and financially as long as necessary," the president said and thanked the country for its great assistance in the face of Russia's aggressive war.
As a reminder, the president arrived in the German capital on the night of May 14. He said that the talks with German leaders would focus, in particular, on weapons and the strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense system.
It should be noted that Zelensky flew to Berlin from Italy - he held a number of meetings there on 13 May. In particular, the Ukrainian leader held talks with Italian President Sergio Mattarella. At their meeting, the two leaders discussed the Ukrainian peace formula. The Italian president expressed his willingness to join its ratification.
