"The door is closed": Danilov responds sharply to Chinese diplomat's words on talks with Russia

Ukraine has responded sharply to the words of China's special representative for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, who said that neither the aggressor country Russia nor Ukraine had allegedly "closed the door to negotiations". The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, said that our country is not going to start a dialogue with the aggressor and is "keeping the door to negotiations with the aggressor country closed".

He said this on Friday, June 2, on the air of the national telethon "United News". Danilov reminded that there is an official decision of the National Security and Defence Council regarding negotiations with Russian dictator Putin.

Ukraine is not going to hold any dialogues with him specifically.

"We have not closed the door (to negotiations with Russia - Ed.), we are not going to open it, it is closed quite firmly. You know that there is a decision of the National Security and Defence Council - we are not going to hold any talks with Putin," Danilov said.

The NSDC Secretary believes that other states are trying to defend their own interests by calling for negotiations with the Russian occupiers.

He once again reminded of the conditions for our country to end the war: returning to the 1991 borders, bringing Russia to justice, compensation for Ukraine and security guarantees.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Li Hui, the Chinese government's special representative for Eurasian affairs, said that there are "many difficulties" between Ukraine and Russia. However, despite this, neither side has "closed the door" to negotiations.
