An MP of the Servant of the People party, Yuriy Aristov, who is also deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, has been spotted in a luxury hotel in the Maldives. The MP was seen on vacation in mid-July.

Aristov was vacationing in the 5-star hotel Waldorf Astoria Maldives on the private island of Ithaafushi. This is reported by the publication "Slidstvo Info".

To verify the information about Aristov's trip to the Maldives, journalists called the Waldorf Astoria Maldives hotel. The employees of the resort confirmed that Aristov had indeed been their guest, but had already checked out.

It is noteworthy that the cost of accommodation for two people for one night in the hotel Waldorf Astoria Maldives varies from 100 to 323 thousand hryvnias for a villa with two bedrooms and a swimming pool. Moreover, the hotel has an offer for more than UAH 500 thousand for one night - with three bedrooms, swimming pools and beach access.

Journalists tried to contact the MP, but he did not answer the phone. The MP's spokeswoman was unable to answer journalists' questions about whether Aristov was in Ukraine or still in the Maldives. Instead, she advised to send a journalistic inquiry.

In turn, the head of the faction "Servant of the people" David Arahamiya has already reacted to the information about Aristov's possible vacation in the Maldives. He said in his Telegram that he would initiate the issue of immediate suspension of Aristov's membership in the faction.

Arahamiya added that he had requested all travel documents to verify all the information. If Aristov's trip to the Maldives is confirmed, the faction will demand his immediate expulsion from the committee and resignation from the parliamentary mandate.
