US President Donald Trump explained what Ukraine would gain from the agreement on rare earth metals. In particular, it is about the "right to fight on."

This was Trump's response to questions from the media at the White House on Tuesday, February 25. He was asked what Ukraine would get from the United States under this agreement.

"$350 billion and lots of equipment, military equipment, and the right to fight on," the American leader said.

"Look, Ukraine... I will say they're very brave and they're good soldiers. But without the United States and its money and its military equipment, this war would have been over in a very short period of time," he added.

Earlier, the media reported that Kyiv had allegedly agreed with Washington on the terms of the rare earths agreement. Ukraine hopes that it will improve relations with the Donald Trump administration and pave the way for long-term US security commitments.

In particular, the $500 billion fund was removed from the document. The parties agreed on much more favorable terms and presented the agreement as a way to expand relations with the United States to strengthen Ukraine's prospects after three years of war.

Later, it became known that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is to visit the United States as early as February 28 and sign the agreement there. Trump said that Kyiv and Washington "have almost agreed on the rare earth deals."

As reported, the American president is interested in minerals in Russia, as well as in Ukraine. This was stated by Donald Trump himself, who said, "They have very valuable things that we could use."

On Monday, February 24, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin convened a meeting on the development of the rare earth metals industry in Russia. The event came after US President Donald Trump's statements about the US interest in Russian minerals.
