US Presidential Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg has said that he will not present a peace plan for Ukraine next week at a security conference in Munich. According to him, this should be done by US President Donald Trump.

Kellogg made this statement on the Newsmax program. In particular, he denied media reports that he was supposed to present a "peace plan" in Munich on February 14-16.

"Yes, we are going to the Munich Security Conference next week. There is a report from another TV company that we will present a peace plan next week. No, this is not true. I have not spoken to that news network (Bloomberg – Ed.) at all," he said.

According to Kellogg, the President of the United States is directly authorized to present the peace plan:

"The person who will present the peace plan is the President of the United States, not Keith Kellogg. We will be involved, we will help him with this. It's not going to happen next week," said Trump's special envoy.

Kellogg added that his team will have "extensive discussions" with senior European leaders and "deliver what we've found to the US president, and then move on."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the day before, Keith Kellogg said that he would take part in the Munich Security Conference as a special envoy of the president for Russia and Ukraine. He also said that he planned to talk about Trump's "goal" to end the war in Ukraine and meet with "America's allies."

Bloomberg, citing several unnamed officials, reported that Kellogg will unveil a long-awaited peace plan in Munich. According to the newspaper, the plan will include freezing the frontline and providing Ukraine with security guarantees to prevent Russia from attacking again.
