China's special envoy visits Kyiv on a "diplomatic tour"

On March 7, China's Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui visited Ukraine during a "diplomatic tour" and met with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities. The Chinese delegation also arrived in Kyiv along with the special representative.

This was reported on the website of the Office of the President. The Chinese spoke with the head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak, his deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

In Kyiv, the Chinese delegation was briefed on the situation on the battlefield and the work of the grain corridor. The Chinese were also told about the return of prisoners of war, the protection of civilian hostages, and the return of Ukrainian children deported by Russia.

Among other things, Li Hui and members of the Chinese delegation were shown the wreckage of a downed North Korean missile and told how Russia uses components from third countries to produce weapons (as you know, many Chinese-made parts have been found in downed Russian drones).

They familiarized the Chinese representatives with nuclear and radiation safety in times of war and described the situation at ZNPP.

The Ukrainian authorities also discussed the Ukraine's Peace Formula and raised the issue of how China can help stop the forced deportation of Ukrainian children, facilitate the exchange of prisoners, as well as the demilitarization and de-occupation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

It should be noted that Li Hui has already visited Moscow and Brussels as part of his "tour". Russia used the visit of the Chinese special representative to promote the topic of the talks. The European Union called on China to control the flow of dual-use goods to Russia.

As reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said the purpose of Li Hui's "tour " is to "promote a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis". As part of the trip, the high-ranking diplomat was to visit Brussels, Poland, Germany, France, as well as Russia and Ukraine.
