US delegation headed by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer arrives in Ukraine
On February 23, an American delegation led by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer arrived in Ukraine. He stated that the purpose of the visit was to demonstrate the United States' continued support for the Ukrainian people, as well as to find out what weapons the Ukrainian army is currently lacking to defend itself against Russian aggression.
The visit was announced by Mr. Schumer himself. He also posted a photo taken in Lviv.
"I am leading this delegation to meet with President Zelenskyy to show the Ukrainian people that America stands with them, to show our NATO and European allies that we stand with them, to learn about weapons that are vital to Ukraine, and to protect our democracy and national security," the Senate Majority Leader said.
