Actor and director Akhtem Seitablaev said that his film " Mirny 21", which starred the late hero Pasha Lee, turned out to be prophetic. The premiere was to take place in May 2022, but because of the full-scale attack of the Russian Federation was postponed to February 2023, when the main character was no longer able to share the joy of the first screening with the team.

"Mirny 21" is not a fictional story, but quite real events that took place in June 2014 in the Luhansk region. The film tells the story of Luhansk border guards, who bravely defended their land despite the advantage of the Russian occupants in strength and equipment.

The main characters, as well as their inspirers, tried to induce the Russian special services to betray them, but the Ukrainian soldiers decided to fight the enemy and not allow him to seize their land unhindered. The title of the film is the address where the Luhansk border detachment was located.

Why did Akhtem Seitablaev call "Mirny 21" prophetic

Shooting a war drama with Pasha Lee in the title role, the director suggested that the character come up with a call sign that would mean something to the actor. After much deliberation, it was decided that because of Lee's love for Egyptology, his character would wear the call sign "Osiris".

"On the eve of Pasha's farewell, I received a message that the farewell would take place exactly at the Osiris funeral home," said Akhtem Seitablaev.

In addition to the strange coincidence with the call sign, the director also revealed that the shooting took place in a military unit in Vasylkiv, where fierce fighting took place in 2022.

Pasha Lee

"Mirny 21" was the last film in which actor Pasha Lee had time to participate. He was brutally murdered on March 6, 2022 in Irpen while volunteering. His volunteer friends miraculously managed to survive after their car was fired upon and prevented from helping the wounded Pasha Lee.

Contrary to the information that circulated on the day of his death, Pavel had nothing to do with military service, which means that he is a civilian victim of Russian aggression against Ukraine. Pasha Lee's mother told the truth about his death in Irpen. She stated: "I need the truth about my son, not legends."
