Unusual Snail cake with cottage cheese and cherries for tea: made of phyllo dough
Phyllo dough is the ideal base for making pies, desserts, snacks with salty and sweet fillings. It is worth noting that it bakes very quickly and does not crumble.
Culinarian Julia shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious pie, the base of which is phyllo dough and the filling is cherries and cottage cheese.
Ingredients:
- sour milk cheese - 500 g
- sour cream - 2-3 tbsp.
- cherries - 300 g
- sugar - 60 g
- butter - 120 g
- phyllo dough
Method of preparation:
1. Defrost the dough according to the instructions.
2. Melt the butter, mix the cheese with sugar and sour cream.
3. Defrost the cherries and strain off the excess liquid. Divide the cheese and cherries into conditional six parts.
4. Lay out a sheet of pastry, brush with melted butter, and place a second sheet on top. Place 1/6 of the cottage cheese on the edge of the pastry in a single line, top with 1/6 of the cherries. Roll up thinly and place in a 26cm mold, starting to form a "snail". Do the same with the remaining five rolls, forming a pie.
4. Brush the top of the finished pie with the remaining butter and bake in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 30-40 minutes.
Sprinkle the finished pie with powdered sugar and you're ready to serve!
