Not a porridge: what to make with rice for a tasty and nourishing breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal according to experts, and it should be the most satisfying. For breakfast, it is best to prepare light but nutritious dishes, such as porridge, egg dishes, sandwiches, and salads.
Cook Inna shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious and easy-to-make rice pudding with apricots and lemon zest.
Ingredients:
- rice (arborio) - 150 g
- milk - 250 ml
- vegetable cream - 250 ml
- sugar - 2 tbsp.
Optional:
- dried apricots - 16 pcs
- cinnamon - 1 stick
- water - 300 ml
- lemon - 1/2 pc.
- chopped nuts
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the rice with milk and cream, add sugar and cook for 25 minutes over low heat.
2. In the second saucepan pour water, add dried apricots with half a lemon and a cinnamon stick, bring to a boil, and then turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Place the cooked rice in a bowl, place the apricots on top, pour the liquid in which the apricots were boiled on top. Sprinkle with nuts, add syrup (if desired).
