International Federation bans Ukraine's symbols at Grand Prix to satisfy Russia
The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has banned Ukrainian symbols from the Grand Prix in South Korea, where athletes are to determine the strongest in foil competition. In particular, representatives of the United States of America were not allowed to enter the track with blue and yellow equipment.
The famous Ukrainian champion Olha Harlan wrote about this on her Instagram page. She noted that American athletes strongly oppose the FIE's decision to reinstate Russia in its tournaments and support our country.

"Today in South Korea, at the Foil Grand Prix, the US team wore arm bands in the colours of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of disagreement with the participation of Russians in the competition. The FIE forced them to remove the armbands and banned any Ukrainian symbols on their uniforms. This is unacceptable, open your eyes. No one agrees!" Harlan reported.
US athletes were banned from supporting Ukraine.

USA Fencing has fully supported its athletes and Ukraine. "USA Fencing wholeheartedly supports our fencers who have decided to demonstrate their solidarity with Ukraine. We believe in the power of sport to unite people and draw attention to important global issues. We stand with Ukraine," the statement said.
The US supported Ukraine.

Earlier, Harlan called FIE officials selfish, and Yana Shemyakina explained the return of Russia by the fact that FIE representatives are sitting on the salaries of Russian oligarchs.

And the president of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), Stanislav Pozdnyakov, was removed from his post as head of the European Fencing Confederation.
