How to wash your hands after mulberry
Citric acid
The most effective remedy for mulberry stains is citric acid, which has a pronounced bleaching effect. There are several options for preparing the solution:
- Pour 1.5 liters of warm water into a container, add 1 bag of citric acid and hold your hands in the resulting solution for about 10 minutes. Then wash your hands with soap and water and use a nourishing cream.
- Simply cut the lemon into two parts and rub the juice onto the palms of your hands.
Unripe berries
Green berries also contain acids that can whiten the characteristic purple spots of mulberries. Take a few green berries and rub them in the palms of your hands. Knead the berries for at least 5 minutes for the acids to take effect.
Cherry juice
Similar to the previous method, take a few cherries (be sure to be ripe), squeeze the juice on your hands or just crush the berries. Thoroughly wipe your fingers and palms, then wash your hands with soap and water. You can also use currant juice.
Wood sorrel or sorrel
Grind sorrel leaves in the palms of your hands until the purple sap of the mulberry turns lighter. We fix the effect by washing our hands with soap and water.
How to wash mulberry from clothes
Lemon juice will help with fresh stains. To prepare a concentrated solution, the juice of one half lemon is enough. Pour warm water into a basin, add the juice and soak the clothes for at least 15 minutes. For the best effect, experts advise adding 3 tablespoons of vinegar. You can also use citric acid in the proportion: 1 tbsp. powder per 1 cup of water.
Baby powder has a mild and hypoallergenic composition, which, however, can cope with stubborn dirt from berries, baby purees, grass. Soak your clothes in warm water with baby powder and leave for at least 20 minutes.
Another method is boiling water. Important caveat: Only natural fabrics like linen or cotton can withstand the boiling water treatment. Silk and some synthetic fabrics can be irreversibly damaged. Remove mulberry sap in this way if the stain is relatively fresh and has not had time to fully dry on the fibers. Stretch the cloth at the place of contamination and pour boiling water on the stain in a thin stream. Hot water is effective against organic stains.
