When we buy clothes, we want them to look as good as new for as long as possible. This is especially true of business-style clothes - they, more than any other, must keep looking good for a long time. Which is not easy, because blouses and shirts have to be washed quite often.

Experts say that to keep the look of business shirts can be a simple procedure, which was used even our grandmothers. It is about starched things. It will help to keep the structure of the fabric longer and avoid wrinkling. OBOZREVATEL tells how to starch things correctly.

Now in stores you can meet spray, which has a starching effect. But it acts noticeably worse, from than a full-fledged processing of the fabric. To make the shirt look brand new, you need to immerse it in the appropriate solution completely. Yes, it will be longer, but the result is worth it.

You can prepare a solution based on rice flour. Here is what you will need for this:

• fine rice flour;
• cold water;
• a large bowl;
• a saucepan;
• two buckets.

To treat one shirt, you will need only one teaspoon of rice flour to half a cup of cold water. For five shirts, it will take 5 teaspoons of rice flour and 2½ cups of cold water.

The flour should be poured into a large bowl, pour cold water and stir thoroughly to break up all lumps. The mixture should infuse for 5 minutes, after which it should be poured into a saucepan and heated for ten minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. As a result, the liquid should thicken.

Next, take a bucket, pour into it so much cold water that it covers all the shirts that need to be treated, and slowly pour the prepared starch into it. Stir it well so that it dissolves completely.

Prepare another empty bucket. Dip the shirts in the starch solution and let them soak completely. Then place them in the empty bucket. If there is starch solution left in the first bucket, pour it over the shirts and let them soak for another ten minutes.

After that, straighten the shirts as much as possible and hang to air dry. When they are dry, spritz them with a little water and wait for the fibers to absorb it completely. Finally, iron the items with a steamer. They should look like brand new.
