The subscribers of the Australian TikToker successfully try out his lessons on their beloved pets

Probably, everyone who has ever spent time with a cat has thought about how good it would be to understand what this wonderful furry creature is communicating with its sounds and how nice it would be to learn to respond to it in its language. Australian blogger Alec Newman claims to have succeeded.

On his TikTok, he talks about the tricks of communicating with cats. His videos have gained millions of likes and hundreds of enthusiastic comments. (To see some of the blogger's lessons, scroll down to the end of the news story.)

For example, he taught his subscribers to say the "ma-a" sound, which apparently means "come here." In the comments, his subscribers told him that they had tried to repeat this trick, but not everyone succeeded. However, there are also enthusiastic comments in which people admit that the cats not only responded to this sound but even woke up on purpose to come over.

Another lesson demonstrates that the sound "meh-meh-meh" can mean the word "food," to which Alec's cat responds very readily. Here, his subscribers recognized his talent as a polyglot and suggested adding the course developed by the blogger to a popular language-learning app.

In another lesson, Newman shows how to hiss at a cat to make it stop doing harm, for example, scratching your legs and tearing your socks. First, you need to hiss, and then move on to a sound very similar to the Ukrainian "ts". Judging by the video, Alec's gray pet understands this "word" well.

In an interview with the Australian radio station ABC, Newman said that he developed his talent as a child. He joked that he grew up in a very small town—there were only 13 people in his graduating class—so in order not to feel lonely, he started talking to cats. One way or another, his life hacks went viral.
