How to clean glass baking dishes from carbon deposits

Glass baking dishes are a convenient and beautiful way to serve food without having to transfer it to another plate. But over time, brown spots from soot and grease form on the surface, which are difficult to remove with ordinary dishwashing detergent.

OBOZ.UA has found the best ways to deal with this. You don't need to spend money on aggressive chemicals as you can make a solution using available ingredients yourself.

Cornstarch and vinegar

Mix one teaspoon each of starch, vinegar, and water to make a thick paste. Spread the mixture on the dishes and leave for 5-10 minutes. Then wipe the surface with a soft brush and rinse with warm water. The starch will soften the dirt, and the vinegar will make the glass look shiny and attractive.

Baking soda

This is an indispensable assistant in cleaning and washing for every housewife. Sprinkle baking soda over the mold, add a few drops of dishwashing detergent, and cover with hot water. Leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then wipe everything thoroughly with a sponge. The abrasive action of baking soda will help to quickly remove old grease and stubborn stains.

Toothpaste

Toothpaste is also effective in removing brown stains on glass molds. To do this, apply the toothpaste to the necessary areas and brush thoroughly. After removing the dirt, be sure to wash the mold with dishwashing detergent and dry it.
