Lemon for shine

The citric acid that this citrus fruit is rich in has excellent degreasing and cleansing properties. To take advantage of lemon juice in the oven, it is better to mix it with water.

Take a heat-resistant container, put the sliced lemon in it and fill it with water. Next, preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put this vessel in it for 15 minutes. Water saturated with citric acid will begin to evaporate and act on the sticking fat. When the oven cools down after this treatment, the dirt can be easily washed off and the metal parts will be shiny.

Soda and vinegar for stubborn stains

These two products together have a powerful cleansing effect. Using baking soda and vinegar not only cleans but also disinfects and deodorizes surfaces. To clean your oven with them, take:

• some water;
• white vinegar;
• baking soda;
• a spray gun;
• a sponge, cloth or paper towel.

To clean the oven with baking soda and vinegar, first remove the rack and rinse it. Next, wipe the bottom of the appliance with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a metal spatula to scrape off any burnt grease that you can.

Then move on to applying the cleanser. In a container, mix half a cup of baking soda with a little water to make a paste. Using a clean cloth or sponge, apply the resulting product to the inner walls of the appliance, without touching the heating zone. Leave the baking soda for at least 2 hours to work deeply on the grease. If necessary, you can leave the baking soda paste even overnight.

Then spray the dried baking soda with hot water from a spray gun and scrub all stains with a sponge. After that, remove the rest of the baking soda and liberally spray all surfaces of the oven with water-diluted vinegar. Allow it to work for a few minutes, then wipe it off with a damp cloth or paper towel. Afterward, let the oven air dry by leaving it ajar.
