How to keep silverware from tarnishing

Silver cutlery adds sophistication and festivity to an everyday dinner. However, they can tarnish and lose their luster and beautiful appearance over time.
OBOZREVATEL has found a simple method to avoid this. You don't need to spend money on expensive chemicals, as you just need an affordable item that is available in every home.
Housewives often use aluminum foil for cooking, but it can also protect silverware from tarnishing.
First, wash and dry your forks, spoons and knives thoroughly. Cover the drawer where the utensils are stored with foil and place the silverware on top. For additional effect, you can cover the silverware with another piece of foil.
You will be able to see the result after a few months of such storage.
Aluminum foil will help to avoid tarnishing, as it attracts any chemical compounds that can damage the items.
If silverware has already tarnished, baking soda will quickly cope with this. To do this, mix baking soda and warm water in a 2:1 ratio and mix thoroughly to make a paste-like consistency: it should be thick enough not to spread.
Use a cloth or toothbrush to rub the mixture into the silverware. Put the silver in a cool and dry place and wait 5-10 minutes,
Rinse it under cool water and polish it with a clean, dry cloth.
