How to clean the racks in the oven

Over time, dirt, grease and food particles accumulate in the oven and cause unpleasant odours in the kitchen. This is often a problem that housewives are unable to solve quickly.

The oven needs to be cleaned regularly, especially the racks and the door. OBOZREVATEL has found an effective way to do this.

Chemical cleaners can harm the appliance, as not all parts need to be covered. However, you can make a solution from available ingredients yourself. To do this, you will need baking soda and vinegar.

The easiest way to clean the grids is in the bathtub or in a large bowl, submerging them completely in water.

Place an old towel on the bottom of the bathtub and place the grates on top. Then sprinkle them with baking soda and pour white vinegar. This will cause a chemical reaction and the mixture will start to fizz.

Once the reaction has stopped, fill the bathtub with enough hot water to completely cover the grates and leave it overnight. In the morning, wipe the necessary areas with a cloth to remove all dirt and grease.

If some stains still remain, try to remove them with a toothbrush. Then rinse the grids again under running water, wipe them dry and you can use them again.

You also need to clean the inside of the oven. To do this, mix the baking soda with water to form a thick paste. Apply the mixture to the required areas, avoiding any heating elements of the appliance.

Leave the mixture on for at least 12 hours. Then wipe everything with a damp cloth. If some stains remain, mix baking soda with vinegar to make a thick mixture and apply it to the required areas. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wipe it off again with a damp cloth.
