Metal comb

It's not a good idea to wash hair tools made of metal with water, as this can cause them to rust. Therefore, treatment should be quick and thorough. The first step in caring for any hairbrush is to remove all the hair that has accumulated in it. After that, the metal product is washed with a solution of shampoo and water. Metal can also be cleaned with baking soda - apply a little baking soda to a wet comb and go over it with a soft brush, or an old toothbrush. After cleaning, the tool should be wiped dry immediately.

Wooden

Natural wood also deteriorates from water, so wooden combs should be cleaned carefully. After removing the hair, it is best to treat it with a cotton pad dipped in alcohol. Hard-to-reach places can be wiped with an alcohol-soaked cotton swab. You can also wipe the wood with bactericidal wet wipes. Abrasives and household cleaners are definitely not suitable for wood. After care, the comb should also be wiped dry.

Plastic

This material is the most undemanding to care products, so it can be cleaned and disinfected with baking soda and vinegar. Pour enough water into the vessel in which the comb will be placed so that it can be completely immersed. Next, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of vinegar to the water. The instrument should be left in this solution for 10-15 minutes. If necessary, the comb can be treated with a toothbrush. After washing, the plastic comb is rinsed and dried on a towel.
