How to clean the stove grates

When cooking, food particles and grease get on the stove, and most often on the grates. This forms a sticky layer of dirt, which is then difficult to get rid of simply by wiping with a damp sponge and dishwashing detergent.

OBOZ.UA has found an effective way to help you clean the grill without any extra effort. The stove should be wiped down after each use to avoid grease accumulation and unpleasant odors.

If you often cook on the stove, you should do a "general" cleaning of the grates once or twice a month, but during this period, keep them clean by wiping them regularly.

First, remove the grates from the stove. Then cover the bathtub with old towels or rags place the grates on them, and run hot water to cover them by 2-3 centimeters.

Rub in laundry soap or add dishwashing detergent and use your hands to shake the water to create a lather. Leave the grates for 12 hours to soften the dirt. Using a stiff sponge or metal sponge, wash the grates thoroughly and rinse them under running water.

This simple and effective method will help to get rid of hardened dirt without using aggressive chemical solutions that can harm your health.
