Clean your sofa regularly with a vacuum cleaner

Sofa gets dusty quickly like any other furniture. Crumbs and other small debris accumulate in its crevices. Therefore, the sofa should be regularly cleaned. To do this, it is best to use a special nozzle for upholstered furniture. Special attention is advised to pay to the gaps between the cushions, the fold between the back and seat and the edges of the sofa. If your sofa has wooden legs or frame, wipe them with a damp cloth to remove dust.

Remove stains properly

Dry cleaning won't get rid of stains. They will have to be dealt with separately. Always pick up wet dirt as soon as it hits the upholstery with dry cloths or paper towels. Wash the stain with a solution of detergent in water. If you doubt which detergent is best for cleaning upholstery, check the sofa care label or consult the manufacturer.

Before applying the cleaning solution, test the sofa in an inconspicuous area to make sure it won't damage or discolor the fabric. A steam cleaner is another good way to clean your sofa. Steam allows you to push dust and dirt out of the upholstery, breaks down stains well, refreshes and sanitizes the fabric. Before using the device, make sure the sofa is free of dust and crumbs. Then use the steamer to clean the fabric in the direction of the fibers. After treatment, let the sofa dry completely before using it again.
