American manicure is more natural than French

There is no more common manicure than the classic French design. However, few people know that there is a similar analogue - the American French, which will last longer on the nails.

Sometimes two similar manicures can be confused because their ideas are repeated. The editors of Refinery29 told us about the differences between the French and American variations (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).

The American manicure completely repeats the idea of the French manicure, but changes the shades of the primary colours. Usually, a dense beige or pink base is used for a classic French manicure, and the tip is covered with white varnish.

However, the peculiarity of the American version is to bring the French closer to the natural colour of the nail. In order to create an American manicure, you need to replace the dense base with a transparent coating, and paint the tip in a barely noticeable milky colour.

This technique will allow you to create an almost invisible design. And since the nail will merge with the varnish as much as possible, it can be worn longer. The process of growing on your hands will be almost invisible.

An American manicure can be done with both gel polish and regular nail polish, which can be easily washed off with acetone. It is also interesting that the trendy design can be done by yourself, as it does not require much accuracy.

As OBOZREVATEL wrote, minimalist trends in manicure dominate. Over-the-top nail art is fading into the background, and "calm" classics are taking its place. Including the so-called "rich girl's nails".
