Beetroot, herring, and peas are ideal ingredients for healthy and tasty salads. To make the beets sweet when cooked, cooks recommend adding salt or lemon juice.

The cook shared a recipe for a healthy and tasty beetroot salad with herring, oil, and dill on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • baked or boiled beets - 1 large
  • herring - 1 piece (250-300 g)
  • onion - 1 small onion
  • dill - a bunch
  • vegetable oil
  • salt - 2/3 tsp (salt to taste)
  • mustard in grains - 1 tsp (with a slide)

Marinade for onions:

  • vinegar - 1 tbsp.
  • hot water (boiling water)
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • sugar - 1 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1️. Chop the onion, put it in a bowl, add salt, sugar, vinegar and pour boiling water, set aside for 5-7 minutes.

2️. Cut the baked or boiled beets into strips, and cut the lightly salted herring into strips.

3. Transfer to a plate and add finely chopped dill and canned peas.

4. For the dressing: add oil, salt, mustard seeds and mix everything.
