What to cook from liver: 2 recipes for delicious and satisfying dishes
One of the healthiest and most delicious foods is liver. It contains a lot of useful vitamins, and experts advise everyone to eat it, especially children and pregnant women. It's worth noting that it can be cooked in different ways: boiled, made into pates, filling for pies and dumplings, as well as added to salads and even chops.

1. Spicy chicken liver pate according to the recipe of food blogger Anastasia Solopiy
Ingredients:
- liver - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrot - 1 pc.
- garlic - 2-3 cloves.
- butter - 40 g
- walnuts - 30 g
- sugar - 2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp.
- thyme - 2 sprigs
- olive oil - to taste
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Wash liver, cut off excess fat and cut into large pieces.
2. Fry in olive oil with thyme sprigs for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add salt, cumin and nutmeg. Remove the liver and thyme sprigs.
4. Add oil to the frying pan. Fry onion sliced in half rings for 1 minute. Add carrots sliced into strips and fry for another 5-7 minutes.
5. Add chopped garlic and sugar and fry for another 2 minutes.
6. Add vegetables to the liver and let cool slightly.
7. Add nuts and butter and blend into a smooth puree.
8. Put the paste into suitable containers, cover or pour melted butter to prevent the paste from getting weathered.
2. Baked cutlets according to Olha Matvii's recipe
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 500 g
- lard - 100 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- breadcrumbs - 200 g
- semolina - 1 cup
Method of preparation:
1. Pass liver along with bacon and onions through a meat grinder.
2. Add egg and semolina to this mixture, mix, and season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a frying pan, spoon the cutlets in (the batter will be very liquid) and fry them.
4. If you use breadcrumbs, spoon the mixture into the pan, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and fry.
Serve the dish hot. It will be delicious with vegetables and cereals.
