What to add to the dough to make crispy bagels
Homemade bagels are the best alternative to pies and cookies. To make them crispy, cooks advise adding vodka to the dough, as well as lard and sour cream. For the filling, you can use any jam, condensed milk, chocolate and fresh and frozen berries.
- flour - 250 g
- sour cream - 2 tbsp.
- leavening agent - 0.5 tsp.
- lard - 100 g
For the filling:
- any thick jam
- powdered sugar - 80 g
Method of preparation:
1. Mix flour with baking powder, sift through a sieve. Add sour cream and lard, mix and knead the dough. Put in the refrigerator for 30-50 minutes.
2. After rolling out the dough no more than 3 millimeters thick, cut into pieces, lay out the filling and form bagels. Transfer to parchment, bake for 30-40 minutes at 160 C.
Sprinkle the finished bagels with powdered sugar!
