It can be used to make not only salads but also delicious and original appetizers. But it's worth remembering that there are foods that can both enhance and spoil the taste of beets.

What to cook with beets

Culinary expert Mykola Liulko shared a recipe for a delicious beetroot salad on Instagram, with tangerines and cheese helping to bring out the flavor.

Salad recipe

Ingredients:

  • Beets – 1 pc.
  • Salt – 1 g
  • Rosemary – 1 pc.
  • Olive oil – 10 g
  • Balsamic vinegar – 10 g
  • Tangerines - 3 pcs.
  • Mixed salad – 120 g
  • Nuts (any) – 60 g
  • Cheese with mold – 150 g

Method of preparation:

1. Wash beets, put in foil, salt, add rosemary, pour with olive oil, and bake until tender at 180 C. Then peel and cut into small cubes.

2. Peel the tangerines.

3. Cut the cheese into a large cube.

4. Dressing: mix balsamic vinegar with oil.

5. Assemble the salad: put the salad mix into a bowl, top it with chopped beets, tangerine slices, nuts, cheese, and dressing.
