Tastier than Vinegret salad: healthy Varya beet salad with garlic and sauerkraut for dinner
Beets are a very healthy and simple vegetable for making salads and sauces. Beetroot also makes a delicious shpundra (old Ukrainian folk dish).
Cook Olena shared a recipe for a delicious beetroot salad with sauerkraut, garlic, and beans on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- beets - 500 g
- canned beans - 200 g
- prunes - 100 g
- sauerkraut - 100 g
- garlic - 1-2 cloves.
- unrefined flavored vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Cook the beets until tender, peel, cut into cubes.
2. Steam the prunes for half an hour, then drain and chop.
3. Put the chopped beets and prunes in a bowl, add the beans and cabbage (squeeze out the excess moisture from the cabbage). Squeeze or grate the garlic, add salt, oil, mix well and you're ready to eat!
