Tastier than scrambled eggs: a quick and healthy Arab breakfast with eggs
RECIPE FOR SHAKSHUKA
This dish can be prepared for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Everything is easy, simple and incredibly tasty
You will need:
- 3 eggs
- vegetable oil
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 bell pepper
- 3 small tomatoes
- salt
- parsley or cilantro
Fry finely chopped onion and garlic in vegetable oil, add finely chopped pepper and continue to fry the vegetables for a few more minutes.
Blanch tomatoes. Pour boiling water over them for 20-30 seconds, drain, and pour cold water over them. Peel tomatoes, remove seeds, and chop them finely.
Add the prepared tomatoes to the vegetables. Stew for 2-3 minutes.
Make small grooves and put eggs in them. Season with salt. Continue frying the shakshuka for another 4-5 minutes.
*The whites should be firm and the yolks should remain runny.
Sprinkle the dish with parsley or cilantro.
Serve the shakshuka with dried bread.
