Tastier than pizza: Caprese puffs for a snack
Puffs can be made with various fillings, savory and sweet. Puff pastry or filo dough is best for the base.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious and easy-to-make puffs with mozzarella and pesto on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- pesto sauce
- cherry tomatoes
- mini mozzarella
- herbs of Provence
- egg yolk
Method of preparation:
1. Defrost the dough according to the instructions on the package and cut it into 3 equal parts. Use a knife to make shallow cuts.
2. Spread the pesto sauce on the base, then put the tomatoes and cheese on top. Be sure to sprinkle with Provencal herbs and brush the edges with egg yolk.
3. Place in a preheated 190 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
