Curd cakes can be a delicious alternative to pies, dumplings, and rolls. It is very important to make a good dough, which determines the structure and taste of the pastry.
Cook Yulia shared a recipe for delicious cottage cheese cakes on Instagram, which are very soft and have a juicy filling.
Ingredients:
- pressed yeast - 25 g, or dry - 9 g
- flour - 550-600 g
- milk - 300 ml
- sugar - 80 g
- egg - 1 pc.
- salt - 0.5 tsp
- oil - 80 g
The filling:
- cottage cheese - 400 g
- sugar - 3-4 tbsp. l.
- corn starch - 2 tbsp.
- vanilla sugar - 1 p.
- sour cream - 2 tbsp.
- egg white - 1 pc.
- egg yolk
- 1 tsp of milk
Method of preparation:
1. Add yeast, 2 tbsp of flour and half of sugar to warm milk. Mix, cover and set aside for 10 minutes. Add the remaining sugar, salt, egg, and melted but not hot butter to the finished dough. Stir and sift in flour in parts. Knead the dough, add flour in parts, and let the dough rise.
2. For the filling, put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
3. Divide the dough into 10 equal parts, form a ball and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Cover with foil and let rise.
4. Make a well with a glass or your hands and put the curd mixture in it. Brush with egg yolk and milk.
5. Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes at 180 C.
