Apples are the perfect fruit for making delicious, flavorful and healthy desserts. They can also be used to make delicate jam and even puddings and pastilles.
Cook Alina shared a recipe for a delicious shortbread pie with apples and soufflé on her YouTube channel.
Ingredients:
- flour - 240 g
- butter - 80 g
- salt - a pinch
- egg yolks - 2 pcs.
- sugar - 30-40 g
- baking powder - 1 tsp.
- vanilla sugar - 0.5 tsp
- apples - 500 g
- cinnamon - to taste (you can leave it out if you are not a fan)
- lemon juice - 2 tbsp.
- sugar - to taste
For the soufflé:
- whites - 2 pcs.
- sugar - 40-60 g
- sour cream or yogurt - 300-400 g
- corn starch - 30 g
- vanilla sugar with bourbon vanilla - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Mix flour, butter, sugar, salt, baking powder, egg yolks and vanilla sugar and grind into crumbs.
2. Dice apples, fry them in a pan with butter, add sugar and stew them.
3. Beat egg whites to peaks.
4. Put some of the dough into the mold and top with apples and soufflé.
5. Bake until tender.
