Beets and herring are foods that go together perfectly. They can be used to make delicious and light salads, appetizers, and spreads.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious beetroot salad with herring, onions, and dill on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 300 g of lightly salted herring
- 1 boiled beetroot
- 0.5 red onion
- 0.5 tin of canned peas
- dill
- oil
- black pepper
Marinade for onions:
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 0.5 cups of water
Method of preparation:
1. Cut onion into half rings. Add salt, sugar, vinegar and water. Stir and leave for 20 minutes.
2. Cut herring and beetroot into strips.
3. Put all the ingredients in a bowl, season with oil and add black pepper. Salt can be added to taste, but you can also leave it out.
