Stewed cabbage can be an addition to many dishes, such as mashed potatoes and cereals. It can also be used as a filling for pies and dumplings.

Cook Olena shared a recipe for delicious stewed cabbage with chicken, carrots and tomato sauce on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Fillet - 2 pcs.
  • Carrots - 1 pc.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Cabbage - 1/2 pc.
  • Tomato paste - 2 tbsp. l
  • Water - 250 ml
  • Spices: salt, pepper, paprika, turmeric

Method of preparation:

1. Chop the onion and grate the carrots, fry.

2. Cut the fillet into small pieces. Fry a little in a preheated frying pan, season with salt and pepper and add the roast.

3. Chop the cabbage. Fry the cabbage separately until half cooked, then add the roast with the meat. Stir and cover with a lid.

4. Dissolve the tomato paste in water and add to the pan. Add seasoning to taste and cover with a lid. Simmer until tender over low heat.
