Spinach biscuit roll with cheese and fish: a recipe for a delicious appetizer
Spinach is a very valuable product that can be eaten regardless of the season. It can be used to make salads, pancakes, pies, and sauces, as well as added to cereals, soups, and even desserts and smoothies.
Cook Anna shared a recipe for a spinach roll with a delicious filling of fish, cheese, and cucumbers on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- frozen spinach – 200 g
- eggs – 3 pcs.
- flour – 60 g
- salt – 1/3 tsp.
The filling:
- cream cheese – 300 g
- weak salmon – 200 g
- cucumbers – 1 pc.
- sesame seeds – a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, turn on the oven at 180 C.
2. Wash the spinach if it is fresh, if not, defrost it and let the water drain completely.
3. Separate the whites from the yolks.
4. Beat the spinach, egg yolks and salt with an immersion blender until smooth. Add the sifted flour and mix the dough.
5. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add them in three parts to the spinach batter, mixing well each time with a silicone spatula.
6. Spread the dough evenly over the baking sheet and bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for 12 minutes.
7. Take the spinach cake out of the oven and immediately cover it with the same piece of parchment or cling film and let it cool completely.
8. Filling: cut the fish and cucumber into strips.
9. Turn the sponge cake over, remove the parchment and completely grease it with cream cheese, put the filling, return the roll, and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
