Spicy homemade tkemali plum sauce for the winter: the easiest recipe
The perfect sauce for meat is Tkemali, which is based on plums, bell peppers, cilantro, sugar, and a mixture of spices. For a more intense flavor, cooks recommend adding garlic.
- plums - 2.5 kg
- sweet pepper - 1 pc.
- garlic - 4 pcs.
- basil - to taste
- mint - to taste
- cilantro - to taste
- hot pepper
- sugar - 250 g
- salt - 1.5 tsp
- ground pepper - 1 tsp.
- cloves - 4-5 pcs.
- suneli hops, Georgian, Armenian seasoning, Provencal herbs - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Pass all the ingredients through a meat grinder.
2. Add spices, salt, sugar, cook over medium heat for 20-40 minutes depending on the desired consistency.
3. Put the mixture into jars and preserve.
