Hard cheese is often the main ingredient in salads and sandwiches. But very often, unscrupulous manufacturers make hard cheese from cheap products, so it is best to prepare it at home.
Cook Olha Matviy shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious homemade hard cheese made from milk, butter, and baking soda.
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese 5% - 600 g
- Milk - 0.5 liters
- Butter - 1 tbsp. l
- Coarse salt - 1-1.5 tsp.
- Soda - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the milk into the cottage cheese and cook until the cottage cheese begins to form lumps, then strain it.
2. Put in a glass bowl, put in a water bath, add baking soda and salt, stir constantly. Add the butter.
3. Then blend the mixture with an immersion blender and pour it into the mold, let it cool and refrigerate.
