Onions are often not added to many dishes because of their unpleasant odor. However, to prevent onions from having a bitter taste and odor, they need to be properly pickled, for example, by adding vinegar and boiling water.

The cook shared a recipe for delicious pickled onions, which require vinegar and boiling water, on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • onions - 1-2 pcs.
  • vinegar - 3 tbsp.
  • salt
  • sugar
  • boiling water - 4 tbsp
  • herbs

Method of preparation:

1. Peel and cut onions into rings.

2. Add salt. Mash onions with your hands and add vinegar and boiling water. Mash again and leave to marinate.

3. Drain all the liquid from the onions and you can eat.
