Bitter peppers are an excellent seasoning for many dishes, and they can also be deliciously canned for the winter. In order for them to be crispy, add garlic without fail.

Delicious bitter peppers for the winter

Culinarian Vita shared on Instagram a recipe for pickled bitter peppers for winter, with garlic, pepper and mustard.

Pepper recipe

Ingredients:

  • water - 500 ml
  • vinegar - 50 g
  • sugar - 50 g
  • salt - 25 g
  • vegetable oil - 20 g
  • bay leaf - 1 piece per jar
  • peppercorns - 5-6 pcs.
  • garlic - 1 tooth.
  • mustard seeds - 5 g

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and dry the peppers. Put them in sterile jars. Also put the spices on the bottom of the jar.

2. Marinade: add sugar, salt, vegetable oil, mustard and vinegar to the water, bring to the boil. Pour over the peppers, leave for 10 minutes, add more marinade if necessary.

3. Place jars in a saucepan, add water, and sterilize for 10-12 minutes. Cover with lids.
