Olivier salad in a new way: what to add to the salad for a bright taste

Everyone can make Olivier salad. In the classic version, sausage is added to the salad, but it can be replaced with boiled fillet or red fish. For a bright flavor, add green onions, fresh cucumber, and corn.

The cook shared her Olivier recipe with fresh dill and fresh cucumbers on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • boiled potatoes - 4-5 pcs.
  • boiled carrots - 1 large one
  • boiled eggs - 5-6 pcs.
  • sausage - 450 g
  • canned peas - 100-120 g
  • Canned cucumber - 4 pcs. medium
  • fresh cucumber - 1 pc.
  • large green onions - 1 bunch (5-6 pcs.)
  • dill - 1 bunch
  • black pepper - 1/2 or 1/3 tsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • mayonnaise - from 150 g

Method of preparation:

1️. Cut all the ingredients into small cubes: potatoes, sausage, carrots, canned and fresh cucumbers, and eggs. Finely chop the dill and onion.

2️. Put all the ingredients in a deep bowl that is easy to mix.

3. Add mayonnaise to taste, salt, ground black pepper, canned peas, and mix very well.
